Gordon Craig 1928 Macbeth 12x 9 Souvenir Program / Lyn Harding / Florence Reed

Program for the 1928-1929 revival of Shakespeare’s classic Macbet at the Knickerbocker Theater, New York City.  The play starred Lyn Harding, Florence Reed, William Farnum and included cast members Douglas Ross, Burford Hampden, George Macready, Moliclare Oliphant and others.
Gordon Craig is credited with “Designment” and his woodcut illustrations are included throughout.  There is also a centerfold of the “weird and gloomy courtyard that Gordon Craig designed as a setting for the murder of King Duncan.”  Also a feature article on Craig by Lillian Gibson with a photo of him on the steps of his Genoese Villa.  20 pages.  Measures 9 x 12.  Very good condition.
